Pieter Schaap is Soben’s data centre lead for the EMEA region. In his role he is responsible for all workstreams associated with data centre project development, from pre-construction and construction till commissioning and operations. Besides his data centre responsibilities, Pieter is a global sustainability leader and at Soben the subject matter specialist for all decarbonisation initiatives. His team is focused on creating meaningful partnerships with clients around the globe driving innovation in project and cost management, design, construction and operations. Making sustainability affordable is always at the top of Pieter’s priorities and with a direct reporting line to the CEO, Pieter has helped Soben become a market leader in the data centre consultancy space. Prior to Soben, Pieter was Supply Chain Director at Yondr Group, his first experience in the data centre industry after he worked in the oil & gas sector for over a decade including various international postings. Today, Soben works with some of the world’s leading organizations who work on high value and complex projects across six continents.
